Samsung is reportedly working on a new feature that will allow Galaxy smartphones to convert static images into short videos using artificial intelligence, Android Headlines reports, citing insider PandaFlash X. The technology is expected to be part of future One UI updates.
The development of this feature may be based on Google's Veo 2 AI model, which was recently added to the Gemini chatbot. Honor is also reportedly planning to use this technology for a similar solution in its new 400 series smartphones. Users will be able to create short video clips of a few seconds in length using regular photos, sketches or drawings.
The exact launch date of the feature is still unknown, but the insider said that the feature will appear "in future smartphones." Most likely, we are talking about the upcoming flagship smartphones Galaxy Fold 7 and Flip 7 or Galaxy S26, which will appear with the new One UI 8 firmware. However, this is just an assumption.
