Samsung has released the stable One UI 8 update for the Galaxy S23 series of smartphones. The firmware is currently available in South Korea, but should appear in the global market in the coming days, reports SamMobile.

The update is available for the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra. It weighs in at around 450MB for beta testers and around 3GB for other users. In Korea, the firmware has the build number S91xNKSU6EYI7.

The new software is based on Android 16 and brings an updated Samsung DeX mode, a new version of Secure Folder, an improved Samsung Internet interface, and a redesigned Weather app. Quick Share has also been updated, and the Alarm, Calendar, and Reminders apps have expanded control capabilities.

Overall, One UI 8 for the Galaxy S23 brings a refreshed visual language with new icons and smoother animations, enhanced multitasking capabilities, improved AI integration, and enhanced privacy controls. It's one of the biggest device updates in years, effectively bringing the Galaxy S23 into line with the newer S24 and S25 series models.

Recall that Samsung recently started updating the Galaxy S24 series to One UI 8, as well as the Galaxy A56 and Galaxy A36.
