Here are the changes you can expect in the new Samsung Galaxy Fold 7

Samsung is preparing to release a new foldable smartphone, the Galaxy Fold 7, which is rumored to arrive in July this year. Earlier, it was reported that this device, like another foldable model, the Flip 7, will run on Android 16 with One UI 8.0, which will be possible due to the postponement of the Android release to the second quarter of 2025. However, as insider @TheGalox_ reports on his X profile, these are far from all the innovations that can be expected.

According to him, the Galaxy Fold 7 will receive the flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite processor for Galaxy, an improved selfie camera under the display, as well as a stronger display with new layers that ensure its durability. In addition, the smartphone will have improved water and dust protection, a less noticeable crease on the screen, a larger evaporation chamber for effective cooling, updated speakers and an improved vibration motor.

The device, according to the insider, will become thinner when unfolded — only 4.5 mm, and its displays will increase: the internal one will be 8 inches in size, the external one — 6.5 inches. The main camera of the smartphone will have a resolution of 200 MP, probably the same as the Galaxy S25 Ultra.

These updates could put Samsung back on top of the foldable market if all the leaks are confirmed.
