Samsung has released the Galaxy Buds Core, a new pair of TWS headphones that will replace the Galaxy Buds FE. The new product is already available for purchase, but only in India for now. The asking price is about $60, FoneArena reports.
The new product has received an improvement in battery life, but not as significant as previously reported. The Galaxy Buds Core can provide up to 35 hours with the charging case, while the Galaxy Buds FE offered up to 30 hours of music playback.
The case of the new product has a battery with a capacity of 500 mAh, and the headphones have a battery of 65 mAh each. With active noise cancellation turned on, this will be enough for 20 hours of playback, and without ANC - up to 35 hours. For comparison, the FE have 470 and 60 mAh and offer 21/30 hours of operation, respectively.
However, if the headphones appear in other markets at a price of around $60, it's hard to complain about such results, considering that the FE costs $99.
As for other features, the Galaxy Buds Core, in addition to active noise cancellation, support transparency mode. In addition, the headphones allow you to easily switch between Galaxy devices - smartphones, tablets and laptops.
Each earbud is equipped with a single driver, which the manufacturer says delivers powerful bass and high-quality sound. In addition, the Buds Core have three microphones for clearer sound during calls and a translation feature based on Galaxy AI, which allows you to transform voice calls into text in real time.
Finally, the Galaxy Buds Core also have IP54 dust and water protection, Bluetooth 5.4, and support for AAC, SBC, and Scalable codecs.
By the way, it was previously expected that the full presentation of the headphones would take place during Unpacked on July 9, where they also plan to introduce the new foldable smartphones Galaxy Fold and Galaxy Flip.
