Samsung has started rolling out the stable One UI 8 update based on Android 16 for the Galaxy A36. This is the first major OS update for the model, reports SamMobile.

The firmware with the number A366NKSU2BYI9 is already available in South Korea and contains the September 2025 security patch. The update will appear in other regions in the coming weeks.

The update concludes the beta program that started three weeks ago for the Galaxy A36 and A56. Samsung originally planned to release the stable version in October, but the release took place earlier.

One UI 8 brings a refreshed interface and a number of new features:

  • improved Quick Share design,
  • updated look of Samsung Internet and My Files,
  • advanced event management in Alarm Clock, Calendar and Reminders,
  • more interface personalization options,
  • enhanced privacy and security features.

To check for the update, go to Settings → Software update → Download and install. After rebooting, your smartphone will receive all the new features of One UI 8. By the way, the new shell is already being rolled out to the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy A56 smartphones.
