GeForce RTX 4060 for laptops has become the most popular graphics card among Steam users

Valve has released the results of its traditional Steam hardware and software survey for April 2025. Despite the fact that there were almost no fundamental changes, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 for laptops won the championship among users.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Laptop GPU is used by 4.80% of all users, 0.48% more than the previous month. At the same time, the share of RTX 3060, which has long held the lead, decreased by 0.37% to 4.57%. This is followed by the regular RTX 4060, GTX 1650, RTX 4060 TI and others. Overall, NVIDIA dominates the graphics card segment and occupies most of the positions on the list.

As for the rest of the PC and laptop characteristics of Steam users, everything is unchanged. Windows 11 dominates among operating systems, and including previous versions, Microsoft's OS occupies 96.10%, while macOS is responsible for 1.62%, and Linux is responsible for 2.27%.

More than half of gamers use monitors with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. On systems with multiple monitors, the most popular resolution is 3840 x 1080. Also, the most Steam users use systems with 16 GB of RAM and have between 100 and 249 GB of free storage.

Among other things, the most popular virtual reality headset is Oculus Quest 2 – 29.84%. It is followed by Meta Quest 3 – 23.2%, and then Valve Index – 14.1%. English regained its leadership among languages on Steam – 35.39%, while Ukrainian is used by the service by 0.69%.
