Apple is preparing to release its long-awaited smart home hub, and according to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, it could happen as early as late 2025. The first information about the project appeared back in 2022, but its launch was delayed due to problems with Apple Intelligence integration and Siri updates.

According to new information from Gurman, the basic version of the device should go on sale "no earlier than the end of the year." Apple is also working on a more advanced model with a robotic arm that can move around the user's desk, but its launch is not expected earlier than a year or two after the release of the basic version. In order to meet the specified deadlines, the company plans to postpone some features of the new product to subsequent generations.

Apple hasn't officially revealed details about its hub, but it's rumored to feature a 7-inch display, a new homeOS operating system, and an interface similar to the iPhone's StandBy mode. The device's design is likely to combine elements of the HomePod and the iPad.

The price of the model with the robotic arm is expected to start at $1,000, while the basic version will be more affordable.
