Trailer for the movie Return to Silent Hill
Cineverse and Bloody Disgusting have released the first trailer for Return to Silent Hill, the third film adaptation of Konami's iconic video game series and the first in over a decade.
The film will adapt the recently remade Silent Hill 2 game. James Sunderland, played by Jeremy Irwin, receives a letter from his deceased wife, forcing him to return to the town of Silent Hill. There, he encounters creepy creatures, mysteries, and his own inner fear as he tries to learn the truth about his past and come to terms with his loss.
Christopher Hans, who directed the first Silent Hill film in 2006, will direct Return to Silent Hill, which Hans co-wrote with Sandra Wo-Anh and William Joseph Schneider. According to Cineverse, the film will be "a faithful adaptation of Silent Hill 2."
Produced by Victor Hadida (Davis Films), Molly Hassell (Hassell Free Production), and David Wolfe, the film is scheduled for a January 2026 theatrical release.
