Capcom showed gameplay of Resident Evil Requiem

At Gamescom Opening Night Live 2025, Capcom showed a new gameplay trailer for Resident Evil Requiem, the ninth installment in the main series.

The trailer features a young Grace Ashcroft and her mother, Alyssa Ashcroft, who previously appeared in Resident Evil Outbreak. Grace will investigate her mother's murder as an FBI technical analyst. During the trailer, the heroine receives a mysterious call and is forced to leave the hotel, which leads to the first dangerous events.

Capcom is positioning Requiem as a "new era of survival horror" with a more cinematic and intense approach to gameplay. The developers promise high tension, technological innovations, and a deep story with multi-layered characters.

Resident Evil Requiem will be released on February 27, 2026 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PC.

The Gamescom Opening Night Live 2025 presentation also introduced the new strategy game Warhammer 40K: Dawn of War 4, announced the release date of Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2, and nominated the Ukrainian game Hollow Home in the category for the greatest impact.
