SpaceX has set another record for rocket reuse. On the night of April 14, 2025, a Falcon 9 rocket successfully launched 27 Starlink satellites into orbit from Cape Canaveral, Florida. This is the 27th flight of the rocket’s first stage, the most in reusable history, and the same booster set the previous record just two months ago.

The majority of the launches of this first stage — 16 in total — were carried out as part of Starlink missions. More than eight minutes after liftoff, the booster successfully landed on the Just Read the Instructions autonomous platform in the Atlantic Ocean. Meanwhile, the upper stage of the rocket continued its flight and in just 65 minutes put the satellites into low Earth orbit.

This launch marks the 43rd Falcon 9 launch in 2025, with 29 of those flights dedicated to the Starlink network. The Starlink satellite system now has nearly 7,200 active satellites and continues to grow rapidly, providing internet access around the world.

Thus, SpaceX is not only setting new technological boundaries, but also continues to actively build global satellite infrastructure.
