Yesterday, the first independent reviews of the new AMD graphics cards – Radeon RX 9070 and Radeon RX 9070 XT – were published. The results show that the models based on graphics processors with the RDNA 4 architecture offer worthy competition to the new NVIDIA products – GeForce RTX 5070/5070 Ti. Today, the adapters based on Navi 48 chips have officially gone on sale. We are pleased to note that the Radeon RX 9070/9070 XT immediately became available on retail platforms in Ukraine. Surely you are already eager to find out what price tags were attached to the devices from the first deliveries to our market?
Recall that the recommended price of the Radeon RX 9070 16 GB is $549, for the older model Radeon RX 9070 XT 16 GB - $599. Of course, in Ukraine you should not expect even approximate values, since this is the MSRP (manufacturer's suggested retail price) for the American market excluding taxes. Although the indicated price tags look very attractive, the situation "on the ground" looks less elevated.
The first Radeon RX 9070 models appeared on online shelves at a price of 40,000–42,000 UAH (~$950–1000). Although a weak excuse, the fact that these are forced OS modifications, which usually cost more than the base models, may be an excuse.
As for the older Radeon RX, the first modifications went on sale at prices of 45,500 - 49,000 UAH ($1080 - 1160). Of course, the higher European starting point, taxes, logistics, initial hype, but the final "double tariff" is becoming the new norm when it comes to new video cards.
Recall that the GeForce RTX 5070 Ti 16 GB models, which went on sale two weeks ago, are now offered from 50,000 UAH (~$1,200; US MSRP – $749), but the GeForce RTX 5070 12 GB, which should have been on the shelves since yesterday, are delayed for some reason.
