Apple Pay support now available on PlayStation 5
PlayStation 5 users can now make payments using Apple Pay, reports 9to5Mac.
When placing an order for the PS5, a new payment option appears - Apple Pay. After selecting it, the system will generate a QR code that you need to scan on your iPhone or iPad. Then the standard Apple Pay form will open, where you can select a card and confirm the payment via Face ID or Touch ID.
Apple implemented this mechanism last year in iOS 18 and iPadOS 18. The same method is used, for example, to pay via Apple Pay in the Chrome browser.
Apple Pay support is available on PS5 now, and is expected to be available on PS4 later in a future system update.
