PrivatBank and the Aurora multimarket chain are introducing the biometric facial payment feature via FacePay. This feature will be available in all stores of the chain where Android POS terminals are installed.
FacePay allows you to pay for goods and services through facial recognition using biometric data. In this case, you don't need a wallet, phone or bank card to make a payment - just a glance at the terminal camera is enough. To pay, you will need the payer's face and a PIN code.

We understand that time is the most valuable thing, so we are implementing new services that make shopping even faster for our customers, and now the payment process has become as simplified and comfortable as possible," comments Vitaliy Kolisnyk, Fintech manager of the Aurora chain.
To set up face payment in Aurora, PrivatBank users need to set up FacePay in the Privat24 application. To do this, you need to take the following steps:
- Open the "Profile" section in "Privat24";
- go to settings;
- select "Payment settings";
- set default card;
- activate FacePay24;
- take three photos of your face, select a card, and save the settings.
