DJI Mavic 4 Pro introduced with 100MP main camera and improved gimbal

- 13 May, 05:37 PM

DJI has introduced the Mavic 4 Pro , a new drone in its line of semi-professional models, which replaces the Mavic 3 Pro.

The main innovation of the Mavic 4 Pro is a 100-megapixel camera with a large 4/3 type CMOS sensor (17.4 × 13 mm) and a variable aperture from f2.0 to f11. It supports 6K shooting at 60fps, 4K/120fps slow-motion video and has up to 16 stops of dynamic range. The camera also uses Hasselblad's Natural Color Solution for the most accurate colors.

The drone has retained the three-camera configuration of its predecessor. The second camera is a 48 MP telephoto lens (70 mm equivalent) with a 1/1.3 type sensor and a fixed f2.8 aperture. The third is an even longer 168 mm lens with a 50 MP 1/1.5 type sensor. Both additional cameras support slow-motion 4K video - the first up to 120 fps, the second up to 100. All cameras can shoot HDR video in 4K/60fps, and the main one, as mentioned above, up to 6K. D-Log, D-Log M, HLG and LUT Rec.709 color profiles are supported for professional processing.

The Mavic 4 Pro features an advanced Infinity Gimbal that rotates 360º and can tilt upwards by 70º. The drone flies for up to 51 minutes - 5 minutes longer than the Mavic 3 Pro. The OcuSync O4+ data transmission system provides 10-bit HDR video at a distance of up to 30 km and a total range of 41 km.

The ActiveTrack 360º system allows you to follow the subject even in difficult conditions, including in the dark or behind obstacles. To avoid collisions, the drone uses six sensors, effective up to a speed of 18 m/s.

The new DJI RC Pro 2 remote controller features a 7-inch Mini-LED display that can be rotated. It has HDMI output, 128 GB of memory, supports DJI Mic microphones and works up to 4 hours without recharging.

The base model of the drone has 64 GB of memory, while the Creator Combo kit has 512 GB and supports ALL-I 4:2:2 video encoding. Fast file sharing via Wi-Fi 6 (up to 80 MB/s) and direct USB-C connection are supported.

The Mavic 4 Pro starts at €2,099/£1,879. The drone is not currently available in the US.
