POCO has introduced the POCO F7 Ultra, the first "Ultra" smartphone in its lineup to feature the flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. The device is priced at $649 for the 12/256 GB variant or $699 for the 12/512 GB variant.
In addition to the flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite, the POCO F7 Ultra also received several other interesting chips. This is the first smartphone from the company to have a separate VisionBoost D7 graphics chip. This 12-nanometer processor can perform upscaling, frame generation and Game HDR. At the same time, these functions will also work for video services like YouTube and Netflix.
As for gaming, thanks to both chips, the POCO F7 Ultra is able to run Genshin Impact in 2K at 120 FPS, maintaining stable performance even after a long hour of gameplay. This is also ensured by LiquidCool Technology 4.0, which uses a dual-channel system with a large heat pipe capable of reducing the chipset temperature by 3°C.
Another chip in the smartphone is the Surge G1, which is responsible for the 5300 mAh battery. At the same time, the Surge P3 manages the 120-watt HyperCharge charging, which allows you to charge the battery to 100% in just 34 minutes. The smartphone also supports 50W wireless charging. Both chips help increase the battery's service life, which even after 1600 charging cycles retains at least 80% of its original capacity.
The cameras have also received significant improvements. The main 50-megapixel sensor has a Light Fusion 800 sensor with an aperture of f/1.6 and optical image stabilization. The camera app also allows you to switch the focal length, in particular between 35 mm and 48 mm. The device also has a telephoto module with a focal length of 60 mm and a telephoto camera. In addition, the smartphone has a 32 MP ultra-wide-angle camera and a 32 MP selfie camera.
On the front, the POCO F7 Ultra features a 6.67-inch OLED display with a resolution of 1400 x 3200 pixels and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. Unlike most other smartphones on the market, POCO uses its own protective glass POCO Shield Glass. In addition, the device has IP68 water and dust protection, which is another improvement over previous models.
