Google Pixel Watch 4 will get a new charging system

- 25 July, 11:34 AM

Google will introduce a new charging system in its upcoming Pixel Watch 4 smartwatches. Instead of the usual port placement on the back, the new devices will be charged from the side, Android Headlines reports.

This means that any previous chargers for the Pixel Watch series will not work with the fourth version, as the port will be moved to the left side of the device and an entirely new charging cable will be included. In addition, the new charging will be 25% faster than previous models.

Meanwhile, the publication previously revealed the device's specifications. The Pixel Watch 4 will come in two sizes — 41 and 45 millimeters. The AMOLED LTPO display will have a peak brightness of 3000 nits, a pixel density of 320 ppi, and a refresh rate of 60 Hz.

Both versions will feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon W5+ Gen 1 main processor and the new M55 coprocessor, which can handle 5x the AI workload with significantly less power. The watches will also have 32GB of storage and 2GB of RAM.

The difference between the two sizes of the Pixel Watch 4, in addition to the screen, will also be the size of the battery. The smaller version will have a capacity of 325 mAh, while the larger one will have a capacity of 455 mAh. The 41 mm model will provide up to 30 hours of battery life, while the 45 mm will work up to 40 hours.

Recall that the official presentation of the Pixel Watch 4, and at the same time the new Pixel 10 line smartphones, will take place on August 20, 2025. On the eve of this, Google even officially showed off new smartphones.
