Starbucks is going to open its first 3D-printed cafe on April 24, 2025, writes My SA.
The cafe, located at 2491 Boca Chica Blvd, is nearly complete and will offer both drive-thru and walk-up service. There will be no indoor seating, according to the design.
This will be the first Starbucks built using 3D printing technology, and the first facility built by Lakeside Commercial Builders, a construction firm based in Terrell, east of Dallas.
The 130 square meter café is constructed from concrete printed on site using a special machine with a crane. The building has a concrete gray color, wavy finish and rounded corners.
Both windows — for pedestrians and for cars — will be covered with a special structure that will provide shade.
