New trailer for Peacemaker introduces the multiverse in the DC Universe

HBO Max has released a trailer for the second season of Peacemaker, which will now be part of James Gunn's new DC Universe, which begins with Superman.

The events of the first series are directly connected to the DC Extended Universe, which includes previous superhero films such as Man of Steel, The Flash, Aquaman, Justice League and others. In the second season, the events of Peacemaker will take place in the new DC Universe, which includes the recent film Superman and the series Monster Commandos.

According to the official timeline, the events of the second season of Peacemaker will take place a month after the events of Superman. In the new universe, the Peacemaker, played by John Cena, becomes not just a means to an end, but a real hero.

The second season promises to be even tougher and crazier, with a new opening dance and eight episodes, the first of which will premiere on HBO Max on August 21, 2025.
