The PlayStation Portable, or PSP, was a huge success in the second half of the 2000s and the first half of the 2010s, and is still remembered with nostalgia by its owners for its interesting and colorful games.

One of these was Patapon – an unusual mix of rhythm game and strategy, the first part of which was released in 2007. The player in it controlled an army of "units" - Patapons, setting their rhythm with the help of virtual drums. The game had an original visual style, for which French artist Rolito was responsible, and was very warmly received by both players and critics. Later, two more parts were released on PSP, and a few years later, remasters of Patapon and Patapon 2 were released on PlayStation 4.

And now a new remaster of both first parts has been announced: Patapon 1+2 Replay, which is due to be released on PC, PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch . Interestingly, the publisher of the remaster is not Sony, which published the original games at the time, but Bandai Namco Entertainment .

Developer SAS Studio promises original gameplay, high-resolution graphics, and new difficulty settings. Patapon 1+2 Replay is due out on July 11th of this year, and the game already has pages on Steam and PlayStation Store where you can add it to your Wishlist.
