As expected, OpenAI has expanded access to its Deep Research tool, allowing all paid ChatGPT users to create detailed reports on a wide range of topics. The feature was initially introduced in early February and was only available to Pro subscribers at a rate of $200 per month. But today it is also available to Plus, Team, Edu, and Enterprise plan users.
Plus subscribers will get 10 Deep Research queries per month as part of their plan, while Pro users will see their monthly limit increase from 100 to 120. OpenAI has also improved the tool’s functionality by adding images to citations for deeper analysis. The system also now recognizes file types better, which improves document processing accuracy.
To use the new feature, you need to enter a query in ChatGPT and click on the Deep Research icon before sending it. Depending on the complexity of the question, generating an answer can take from five to 30 minutes. OpenAI notes that Deep Research remains very resource-intensive, so this feature is not yet available to users of the free version of ChatGPT.
