OpenAI has signed an agreement with Context.ai, a startup specializing in the analysis and evaluation of artificial intelligence models, TechCrunch reports, citing the Context.ai website.
Context.ai was founded in 2023 and raised $3.5 million in funding from venture capital firms GV and Theory Ventures. One of Context.ai’s key products was a dashboard that allowed customers to analyze data generated by AI models and assess their performance. The company also offered a transcript analysis API, which helped developers better understand the usage of their models.
Context.ai founders Henry Scott-Green and Alex Gamble, who previously worked at Google, are joining OpenAI, where they will work on tools for evaluating AI.
As of August 2023, Context.ai had six employees. There is currently no information on how large the Context.ai team is today or whether every employee will be offered a job at OpenAI.
