Microsoft has unveiled (via Engadget) updates to its Copilot assistant that include a mobile version of the multimodal Vision tool.
Originally available in the Edge browser, Copilot can analyze websites. Vision now integrates with mobile device cameras, allowing it to analyze live video and photos stored on the device. For example, Copilot can assess the health of plants in video and offer care recommendations.
Additionally, Microsoft is introducing Copilot Search to Bing, combining traditional and generative search to help you find information more efficiently. Bing is now positioned as an AI-powered search engine that can provide not only text-based answers, but also images and data from trusted sources.
Another new feature is Copilot Memory, which allows the assistant to remember users' personal details, such as favorite foods or important dates. This allows Copilot to suggest personalized actions, such as making restaurant reservations or ordering flowers.
The updates are already available for iOS and Android users, and are gradually being rolled out to other platforms.
