In early June, Microsoft and Activision unveiled Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 at the Xbox Games Showcase 2025, where the plot and other details of the title were revealed, as well as a trailer for the game. Now, official screenshots from Black Ops 7 have appeared on the network, shedding light on the game's new features. NotebookCheck writes about this.

According to a post by CharlieIntel on XCancel, the screenshots accidentally appeared on the Xbox Call of Duty app. They come from a closed internal test where select players were able to try out the game and provide feedback. The images give a glimpse into several important gameplay changes in Black Ops 7, including new modes and mobility gear.

One of the new modes will be Overload, where players will be split into two teams of six and will try to deliver EMI devices to the enemy base to earn points. Another mode, called Skirmish, will feature 20 players on each team. It is expected that the large maps will be complemented by wingsuits - equipment similar to those used in Battlefield 2042, which allows for rapid movement.

A screenshot of a character with a jetpack-like backpack on his back has attracted particular attention, but it is believed that this is most likely an enhanced backpack, as the developers previously stated that there will be no jetpacks in the game. Instead, players will be able to use an upgraded "omnimotion" system, a mechanic first introduced in Black Ops 6.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 has no release date yet, but it is known that the game will be available on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC. It will also be available through Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass on launch day.
