Apple plans to release new Apple Intelligence features for its virtual assistant ‌Siri‌ this fall, despite delays. According to The New York Times, the company has not canceled the updates, despite previously reporting a delay until 2026.

Specifically, ‌Siri‌ will get improved personalization, allowing the assistant to track emails, messages, files, and photos to help organize tasks. Users will be able to ask ‌Siri‌ for specific data, such as books someone has recommended, or find emails based on keywords.

Another important feature will be Siri's improved awareness of what's on the device's screen. For example, if a user receives an address in a message, Siri can add it to a contact, or if there's a photo on the screen, Siri can send it upon request.

With deeper integration with apps, ‌Siri‌ will be able to perform more complex tasks, such as moving files between apps, editing and sending photos, and providing directions and sharing arrival times with others.

All of these features were announced at WWDC last year. By the way, Apple has already revealed the date of the long-awaited developer conference. It will be held from June 9 to 13.
