- 25 June, 09:39 AM

NVIDIA has announced the GeForce RTX 5050 graphics card, a new entry-level model for PCs and laptops with support for ray tracing and DLSS 4 technology with Multi Frame Generation.

The desktop version will feature 2560 CUDA cores of the Blackwell architecture, 8 GB of GDDR6 video memory, and power consumption of up to 130 W. The cards will be manufactured by NVIDIA partners, including ASUS, MSI, Gigabyte, Zotac, and others. Sales will start in the second half of July 2025.

The RTX 5050 laptop variant is also based on 2560 CUDA cores, but uses 8GB of GDDR7 memory. The TDP is from 35 to 100W, which will allow the card to be used in thin laptops. The first models with the RTX 5050 are already on sale, starting at $999.

According to official data, the RTX 5050 is capable of delivering over 150 frames per second in Cyberpunk 2077 and Avowed with DLSS 4 and MFG enabled at high settings in 1080p. These figures were achieved when paired with the $479 AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D processor.

In untraceable rendering mode, the new model shows up to a 60% performance increase compared to the GeForce RTX 3050. It is the direct successor to the RTX 3050, which is still one of the most popular graphics cards among Steam users. As for the RTX 4050, it was only available for laptops.
