Samsung announces new health features in One UI 8 Watch
Samsung has shared details about new features coming to the One UI 8 Watch, including Sleep Guide, Vascular Stress Score, Running Coach, and Antioxidant Index. These features require Android 10 or later and the Samsung Health app (v6.30.2 and later) to work, except for Sleep Guide (Android 11 and later).
Bedtime Recommendations analyzes your sleep data from the past three days, taking into account your circadian rhythms and sleep pressure to provide optimal sleep recommendations. It can also adapt to irregular sleep schedules.
Vascular Stress measures the level of stress on your circulatory system while you sleep. It also provides insights into factors like sleep, exercise, and stress. This feature requires a Galaxy Watch Ultra or later.
Running Coach helps users exercise safely by providing real-time motivational cues and recommendations. And Antioxidant Index measures the body's levels of carotenoids (antioxidants found in green and orange fruits and vegetables) using a special light-activated sensor on the back of the watch. Running Coach requires a Galaxy Watch Series 7 or later, while Antioxidant Index requires a Galaxy Watch Ultra or later.
The One UI 8 Watch beta will be available at the end of June, but only for users in the US and South Korea who have Galaxy Watch 5 or later models.
