new video of the mysterious Chinese sixth-generation fighter Chengdu J-36 has appeared on the Internet. This time, the plane was "caught" during a landing at a very short distance from the operator, so this video will give a lot of interesting information to experts.

The Chengdu J-36, which has a delta-wing design without a tail fin, is being developed by Chengdu Aircraft Corporation, whose production is located in the city of Chengdu, where this video was filmed.

The Chengdu J-36 was first seen in the air on December 26, 2024 and then again on March 17, 2025.

And although the estimated dimensions, weight and number of engines of the Chengdu J-36 are more consistent with the characteristics of a bomber, the presence of compartments for ultra-long-range PL-17 air-to-air missiles allows it to be classified as a multi-role fighter. Western experts call the Chengdu J-36 the first stealth fighter of the sixth generation that has already taken to the air.

Recall, recently US President Donald Trump announced that Boeing is the winner of the Next Generation Air Dominance (NGAD) 6th generation fighter development program. Unlike the Chinese Chengdu J-36, the new American aircraft is only at the Engineering and Manufacturing Development stage, that is, the final stage of development.
