Koei Tecmo and Team Ninja have announced Nioh 3, the latest installment in the action RPG series set in Sengoku Japan. The game was announced during the State of Play presentation, and a demo is now available on PS5 until June 18, 2025.
In Nioh 3, players will control a young warrior who is preparing to become shogun. The game has two fighting styles - samurai and ninja. The first resembles the previous parts, but with new techniques that add variability in close combat. The ninja style relies on speed, evasion and attacks from unexpected positions.
You can switch between styles at any time, adapting to enemies and situations. Nioh 3 will also offer open battlefields for the first time in the series, expanding exploration possibilities - with settlements, yokai and a new challenge called The Crucible.
The demo features character creation, and the developers are encouraging players to share their impressions via an official survey. The full version of the game is expected to be released in early 2026 on PlayStation 5 and PC. There is no exact release date yet.
Recall that Silent Hill f was also presented at State of Play. In addition, Sony decided to take a step towards fighting games and showed its first arcade stick along with a new Marvel fighting game and a retro Mortal Kombat compilation.
