The next iPad Pro model will have two front-facing cameras, one in portrait and one in landscape, Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman reported. The approach should improve the usability of the tablet in portrait or landscape orientation for selfies and FaceTime calls.
Previously, the iPad Pro had only one camera — on the vertical side in older versions or horizontal in the model with the M4 chip. This was only partially convenient: in landscape mode — for video calls, in portrait — for Face ID. The new version with two cameras will allow you to automatically choose the optimal side for framing your face or video calling.
The update will also include a new M5 chip, which should provide higher performance and better power efficiency. Bloomberg is not reporting any other design or feature changes at this time.
