The aircraft tracking service Flightradar24 has reported an unidentified aircraft with the call sign WELCOME, which is "drawing" strange signs in the sky over the Lviv region. At the time of the alert, it was the most tracked aircraft in the world by Flightradar24 users.
While Lviv residents living near the airport say that no plane has taken off or landed today, netizens are putting forward their own ideas. According to some assumptions, it could be the Saab 340 AEW&C AWACS aircraft, which Ukraine was supposed to receive from Sweden. According to others, it is a procedure for calibrating ground instruments at Lviv Airport before its upcoming opening. This is hinted at by the plane's call sign and the fact that almost the same patterns could be observed earlier during similar procedures at some European airports.
