Netflix will soon get a new design for its TV app
Netflix began testing a redesign of the homepage in its TV app in 2024. According to The Verge, citing company co-chairman Greg Peters , the testing was successful and the updated app will soon begin to appear for users.
In the new design, the trailer viewing window will be enlarged and moved to the top of the screen, while the show information will be displayed at the bottom. This will allow the user to focus on the selected show and reduce the amount of unnecessary information on the screen.
The new redesign will also remove the menu that previously appeared on the left side of the Netflix homepage. It will be replaced by a streamlined top menu with the main options: search, home, shows, movies, and "My Netflix." To quickly navigate to this menu, users will need to press the "Back" button on the remote.
