NASA to stream space launches on Netflix

- 1 July, 02:30 PM

This summer, Netflix will begin streaming NASA Plus content — including rocket launches, spacewalks, missions, and views from the ISS. The content will be ad-free and without additional subscription fees, the agency announced on its blog.

NASA Plus, which launched in November 2023, has been streaming documentaries, educational programs, and live coverage of the US space agency since then. Now, some of this content will appear on one of the world's most popular video services.

NASA explained that the partnership with Netflix is aimed at attracting new audiences in today's media landscape. At the same time, this is not an exclusive deal: NASA Plus broadcasts will continue to be available for free through the agency's website and an app available for iOS, Android, Apple TV, Roku and Amazon Fire TV.

Netflix is expected to show both live broadcasts of launches and spacewalks, as well as some NASA educational projects.
