MSI introduces Claw A8 portable console and updates for 8 AI+, as well as new laptops

MSI at Computex 2025 introduced a line of new solutions for gamers and businesses, including the Prestige 13 AI+ and 16 AI+ laptops, the Stealth A16 AI+, and the MSI Claw A8 and Claw 8 AI+ Polar Tempest Edition portable consoles.

The first new addition to the Artisan collection is the MSI Prestige 13 AI+ Ukiyo-e Edition. The main feature of the 13-inch laptop is its unique design, created in collaboration with the famous Japanese lacquerware company OKADAYA. As for the display, it is an OLED panel with a resolution of 2800 x 1800 pixels with 100% DCI-P3 coverage and DisplayHDR True Black 500 support.

The new product comes with up to an Intel Core Ultra 9 288V processor, Intel Arc 140V GPU, up to 32 GB of LPDDR5x-8533 RAM, Wi-Fi 7 BE1750 and Bluetooth 5.4. In addition, the laptop has one slot for NVMe M.2 SSD via PCIe Gen4 x4 and a 5 MP infrared webcam with HDR and 3D Noise Reudction +. Of the ports, the MSI Prestige 13 AI+ has two Thunderbolt 4 with DisplayPort and Power Delivery 3.0 support, one USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A, a microSD slot and HDMI 2.1. A 4-cell, lithium-polymer, 75 Wh battery is responsible for power.

MSI also continues its partnership with Mercedes-AMG and introduces two new laptops with a corresponding design - Stealth A16 AI+ and Prestige 16 AI+ Mercedes-AMG Motorsport. The 16-inch QHD+ Stealth A16 AI+ is equipped with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50 graphics cards and an AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processor, up to 96 GB of DDR5 RAM. The laptop also received 1 USB Type-C 4 with DP and PD, two USB Type-A, HDMI 2.1, a Gigabit Ethernet port, Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4.

The second device in collaboration with Mercedes-AMG is the Prestige 16 AI+ Mercedes-AMG Motorsport, which received a 16-inch 4K display, processors up to Intel Core Ultra 9 288V, Intel Arc 140V graphics and a 99.9 Wh battery. The laptop also has up to 32 GB of LPDDR5x-8533 RAM and two slots for NVMe M.2 SSD memory via PCIe Gen4. Of the ports, there are two Thunderbolt 4, one Type-A, a card reader and HDMI 2.1. The laptop also has Gigabit Ethernet, Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4.

No less important announcement is the new portable consoles MSI Claw 8 AI+ Polar Tempest Edition and Claw A8. The first received an Intel Core Ultra 7 258 processor paired with Intel Arc 140V, 32 GB of LPDDR5x-8533 RAM, 2 TB NVMe M.2 SSD, two Thunderbolt 4 ports and Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4. The resolution of the 8-inch display is 1920 x 1200 pixels, and an 80 Wh battery will be responsible for battery life.

Meanwhile, with the Claw A8 BZ2EM, MSI offers a simpler alternative with an AMD Ryzen Z2 Extreme processor and AMD Radeon Graphics. The A8 also gets up to 24GB of dual-channel LPDDR5x-8000 RAM, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3. Both consoles run Windows 11 and feature a 6-axis IMU vibration motor and a fingerprint scanner.

MSI's latest announcement at Computex is a new design concept for business and productivity laptops. They feature a more minimalist style and are the thinnest laptops MSI has ever made at 13.9mm. They will be available in regular and 2-in-1 form factors, feature OLED displays, are aimed at all-day battery life, and are powered by Intel's Panther Lake platform.
