Motorola has officially announced the new Edge 60 and Edge 60 Pro smartphones. These devices are the first in their segment to feature fully curved display edges.
Both smartphones feature a 6.7-inch p-OLED display with a resolution of 2712x1220 pixels, HDR10+ support, and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The display's brightness reaches 4500 nits, making it the brightest in Motorola's lineup.
Both models feature a triple camera setup with a 50MP Sony Lytia LYT-700C main sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 10MP telephoto lens with 3x zoom. The front-facing camera also has a 50MP resolution. The smartphones also support Dolby Atmos for enhanced audio and Moto AI features that enhance interaction with the device.
The smartphones are IP68 and IP69 certified, which provides high protection against dust and water. In addition, they comply with the MIL-ST-810H standard, which guarantees durability when dropped from a height of up to 1.5 meters, excessive humidity and extreme temperatures. The screen of the smartphones is also protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i.
The Edge 60 Pro is powered by the Dimensity 8350 processor, 8 or 12 GB of LPDDR4X RAM, and 256 GB or 512 GB of UFS 4.0 storage. The smartphone is powered by a 6,000 mAh battery with support for 90 W wired fast charging and 15 W wireless charging.
The Edge 60 Pro comes in three finishes, each with its own tactile feel. The Pantone Shadow color has a leather-like back, the Pantone Dazzling Blue color has a textured finish like nylon, and the Pantone Sparkling Grape color has a sandpaper-like back.
As for the Edge 60, it is equipped with a Dimensity 7300 chip with 8 GB or 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB or 512 GB of internal memory. Unlike the Pro, the Edge 60 also has a microSD card slot. The smartphone has a 5200 mAh battery with support for 68 W fast charging.
The Edge 60 is available in Pantone Gibraltar Sea, which has a nylon-like surface, and Pantone Shamrock, which looks like sandpaper.
The Motorola Edge 60 and Edge 60 Pro will be available in various countries around the world, except for the US. In Europe, the Edge 60 starts at €429, while the Edge 60 Pro starts at €599.
