Motorola plans to revive the Moto 360 smartwatch series, which was last released under this name in 2019. The Android Headlines portal reported that the company is developing the Moto 360 2025 model, which will most likely appear at the end of this year, and also showed what the new product will look like.
According to the published renders, the new product will have a round steel case and a metal strap. According to the source, a total of five color variants of the case are provided. The watch will be equipped with a crown and an additional button, which are located on the right side of the device.
The Moto 360 2025 is reportedly going to run on Wear OS, a departure from Motorola's previous models running on its own Moto Watch OS platform. Although it's possible that the watch will run both systems.
The first Moto 360 from Motorola was introduced in 2014, and the second generation of the watch was released in 2015. Production was discontinued in 2017, but in 2019 the third and final Moto 360 model was released, but it was already developed by a third-party manufacturer from Canada, eBuyNow.
The brand's return could indicate Motorola's intention to enter the premium smartwatch segment, distinct from current budget models such as the Moto Watch 40, 70, and 120.
