Polaroid has unveiled the Flip, a new camera that the American company calls "the perfect point-and-shoot instant camera." It will go on sale on April 29 for €219/$199/£199.
The Polaroid Flip combines the company's 80 years of innovation and is equipped with a hyperfocal system with four lenses, each of which focuses at a specific distance - 0.65 m, 0.85 m, 1.2 m and 2.5 m. The camera supports autofocus, which works on the basis of sonar, which automatically selects the appropriate lens. In addition, the device is equipped with a powerful flash, which, according to the manufacturer, is able to effectively illuminate objects at a distance of up to 4.5 meters.
Another useful feature of the Flip is its automatic scene analysis, which helps you achieve the right exposure. It gives you hints via the viewfinder LED if your shot might be over- or underexposed. It also warns you if your subject is too close to the lens on the cover screen.
The Polaroid Flip also supports i-Type and 600 film, charges via USB-C, and comes with a neck strap. The camera connects to the Polaroid app via Bluetooth, where users can access advanced settings and remote control. Additional features include double exposure and a self-timer.
