AI Factory: Ukraine is creating the first state infrastructure for AI

The Ministry of Digital Transformation is launching AI Factory, the first state project designed to ensure the creation and scaling of artificial intelligence in Ukraine.

The new infrastructure will allow citizens' data to be processed within the country - under the protection of sovereign data centers, which guarantees digital security and technological independence.

AI Factory will be the base for key state AI services, including the AI assistant in the Diia application, and later the AI tutor in Mriya, as well as solutions in the fields of defense, medicine, and science. The development is being carried out by the WINWIN AI Center of Excellence commissioned by the Ministry of Digital Affairs.

AI Factory infrastructure includes:

• computing clusters, servers and data warehouses;
• software for model training and data processing;
• tools for integration with state registers;
• educational programs for training specialists.

Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov noted that Ukraine's ambitious goal is to be among the three world leaders in the level of development and implementation of artificial intelligence by 2030. To do this, it is critically important to have its own technical infrastructure - with computing clusters, data warehouses and modern software. The AI Factory project will be the first large-scale step towards realizing this goal.
