Microsoft has announced the launch of the Retro Classics collection for Game Pass subscribers, featuring over 50 Activision games from the 1980s and 1990s, including Pitfall, Grand Prix, Commando, MechWarrior 2, and Atlantis.
The collection is available on Xbox, PC, and via cloud gaming on compatible devices—including LG and Samsung TVs and the Meta Quest headset. All games are included with Game Pass at no additional cost.
Microsoft says the initiative is part of its commitment to preserving gaming heritage. Retro Classics includes titles for SNES, MS-DOS, PlayStation, and other platforms. Players can unlock achievements, participate in tournaments, and community events.
In the future, the library is expected to grow to over 100 games from Activision and Blizzard. They cannot be purchased separately - only through Game Pass.
Recall that Microsoft also revealed which modern games will appear in the Xbox/PC Game Pass catalog in the second half of May 2025.
