Meta has revealed new smart glasses created in collaboration with Oakley. The limited edition Oakley Meta HSTN costs $499 and will be available for pre-order on July 11, 2025. The rest of Oakley's models will go on sale this summer, starting at $399.

Like the Meta Ray-Ban, these glasses have a built-in front-facing camera, microphones, and open-back speakers. When connected to a smartphone, they allow you to listen to music or podcasts, make calls, and talk to Meta AI. The camera and microphones allow Meta AI to answer questions about the environment and translate text.

The new model is designed primarily for athletes. The glasses are protected from moisture according to the IPX4 standard and can work without recharging for up to 8 hours - twice as long as the Meta Ray-Ban. Including the charging case, the battery life reaches 48 hours. The camera now supports recording in 3K resolution (versus 1080p in Ray-Ban).

The series is presented in five variants, while all models can be ordered with optical lenses for an additional fee. Available frame colors are gray, black, smoky brown and clear, and the lenses have several options, including photochromic.

The limited edition $499 model will feature gold accents and Oakley PRIZM gold lenses. Sales will begin in the US, Canada, UK, Ireland, France, Italy, Spain, Austria, Belgium, Australia, Germany, Sweden, Norway, Finland, and Denmark.

Meta recently signed a multi-year deal with EssilorLuxottica, the parent company of Ray-Ban and Oakley. It has already sold over two million pairs of Meta Ray-Ban and expects to sell 10 million Meta smart glasses annually by 2026.
