The popular messenger WhatsApp has hinted at the release of a long-awaited iPad app, which will be available alongside versions for iPhone and Mac.
The official WhatsApp account on the X network responded to a post that said WhatsApp was going to release an app for Apple's tablet. This could be a sign that Meta is preparing to launch WhatsApp for iPad in the near future. Incidentally, the company has been testing the app via TestFlight for almost two years.
Additionally, an Instagram app for iPad is reportedly also in development, indicating that Meta is finally starting to pay more attention to Apple's tablets.
In addition to WhatsApp and Instagram, Meta also owns Facebook and Threads. Facebook already has an app for iPad, while Threads is currently only available on iPhone.
Recall that it was also recently announced that the web version of WhatsApp will soon receive a centralized media hub for managing all files.
