Apple is working on a MacBook with a touchscreen
Apple has finally listened to MacBook customers and will add touchscreen support to future models, according to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.
According to Kuo, Apple came to these changes through long-term analysis of how people use the iPad. Studies have shown that in certain scenarios, touch control increases efficiency and improves the user experience.
Kuo says that mass production of the MacBook Pro with an OLED display and touch support will begin in late 2026. These models will receive a touch panel using on-cell touch technology.
The analyst adds that the budget MacBook model with the iPhone 16 Pro processor will remain without a touch panel, but its mass production will start in the fourth quarter of 2025. Instead, the second generation, expected in 2027, may receive such a screen.
