Looking Glass introduces 27-inch 5K 3D monitor

- 21 April, 10:25 AM

Looking Glass has announced the new Looking Glass 27 5K display, a glasses-free 3D display aimed at shared use in offices, trade shows, and other professional environments. The device is priced at $8,000 with a discount.

The display generates from 45 to 100 perspectives simultaneously within a viewing angle of 53°, allowing multiple viewers to see a 3D image from different points without additional equipment. The panel is only 2.5 cm thick, and the virtual image depth reaches 40 cm.

The company specializes in creating affordable 3D displays that don't require special glasses or VR/AR headsets. Among its other offerings is the Looking Glass Go, a $300 portable 3D display.

Looking Glass 27 supports VESA-standard images and can even work with iPads, which the manufacturer claims reduces costs by 35% and simplifies system deployment. You can create images in Unity, then distribute them via TestFlight or the App Store - without the need for complex tools or high processing power.
