Lenovo has introduced the Legion Tactical Mobile SSD in the shape of a grenade. The product is dedicated to the release of the Chinese film Operation Hadal and will be available only for the Chinese market.
The Grenade will be available in three versions: an empty aluminum alloy case for $41; a set with collectibles from the film for $55; and with a 1TB SSD in a case with peripherals for $110. However, in the cheaper versions, you will be able to install your own SSD yourself.
The device features a tool-free, slide-out SSD cover and RGB lighting around the device. Lenovo claims read/write speeds of up to 1,050 MB/s and 1,000 MB/s over USB 3.2 Gen2.
The Tactical Mobile SSD is 143.2 mm tall and weighs 320 g. It is compatible with Windows, macOS and comes with two USB-C and USB-A cables. The $110 devices will have unique serial numbers.
