The creators of the Metro series, Reburn studio, commented on the postponement of the release of their new game La Quimera

The shooter La Quimera from Ukrainian studio Reburn, which was supposed to be released on April 25, 2025, did not appear on Steam on the scheduled date. The studio announced that it encountered technical problems and is changing the game's release model. La Quimera will be released in early access immediately after the problems are resolved.

The game will be incomplete in early access: players will be able to play the "first part" both independently and in co-op. Over time, new missions, features, and plot developments will appear. A similar approach was used in Baldur's Gate 3, where only the first act was available in early access.

Meanwhile, some publications have already published reviews of the version of the game that was not released on April 25. Wccftech called La Quimera an unfinished game that combines different ideas that do not harmoniously merge into one whole. Xboxera writes that the game can be completed in just 2 hours.
