The Project Kennan portable console, which ASUS is creating in collaboration with Xbox, was shown in images from the US Federal Communications Commission documentation. According to VideoCardz, the official announcement of the device may take place as early as Computex 2025.

As previously reported, the portable console is being manufactured by ASUS, and the device itself will be released based on the ROG Ally 2. In general, it is expected that two consoles will be presented - one under the ASUS brand, the second under the Xbox brand.

The images show the consoles in white and black, which are mostly indistinguishable, save for one small detail: the button in the top left corner. On the black version, the button has an "X" marking, which will likely be unique to the Xbox console.

The images also revealed some of the specs. The black model will feature 64GB of LPDDR5X RAM and an 8-core AMD processor, likely the Ryzen Z2 Extreme that insiders have previously mentioned. The white ASUS-branded version will feature a 4-core AMD Aerith Plus chip. Both consoles will feature a 7-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate.

As previously reported, Project Kennan will not run Xbox games directly, but will function similarly to the first-generation ROG Ally or other portable PC consoles. The device will run on Windows and will likely support platforms like Steam and the Epic Games Store. At the same time, Microsoft is also developing its own portable Xbox console, but its launch is not expected before 2027.
