Kingdom Come: Deliverance II is the highest-grossing game on Steam in February 2025
The analytical agency GameDiscoverCo calculated the revenue of games released on Steam in February 2025. Kingdom Come: Deliverance II wins by a wide margin. In second and third place are Monster Hunter Wilds and Sid Meier's Civilization VII, respectively.
According to analytics, Kingdom Come: Deliverance II earned $118.9 million in February with sales of over 2 million copies on Steam alone. This, by the way, allows us to roughly estimate the revenue of STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl , which should be at about the same level. According to GameDiscoverCo, about 600 thousand copies of Kingdom Come: Deliverance II were sold on consoles, but this hardcore gameplay is closer to PC players.
As for Monster Hunter Wilds, which ranks second, the $69.1 figure is revenue in just 24 hours, as the game was only released on February 28, the last day of the month. According to analysts, as of now, Monster Hunter Wilds has already earned over $150 million and sold close to 4 million copies on PC and consoles combined.
As for Sid Meier's Civilization VII, the good figures of $66.1 million are supported primarily by a large number of expensive pre-orders.
Avowed's weak performance is due to the fact that the game has been available on Game Pass since day one, but overall Obsidian Entertainment is pleased with the sales.
Simon Carless of GameDiscoverCo emphasizes that earnings on Steam during the first one or two weeks after release are typically a third of the revenue in the game's first year of existence, or one-fifth of the game's total revenue over its entire lifecycle.
