An anonymous source has told MacRumors about new camera features that could appear in the iPhone 17 Pro. According to the insider, he has seen a commercial for the new smartphone, which is allegedly being created by a studio working with Apple. Although the source is not confirmed, the information seems detailed.
First, the iPhone 17 Pro may get an updated telephoto lens with optical zoom up to 8x. This is significantly more than the 5x in the iPhone 16 Pro. The lens will be movable, which will allow you to smoothly change focus without losing quality.
Secondly, Apple is allegedly preparing a new camera app that will allow you to shoot both photos and videos at the level of professional solutions — competitors to Halide, Filmic Pro or Kino. Whether the app will be available only for the iPhone 17 Pro is still unknown.
