This year, Samsung is adding another smartphone to its flagship lineup, the Galaxy S25 Edge. And the device's main selling point is its ultra-thin body. This will lead to some compromises, but unfortunately, they don't have to do with price.
As 9to5Google reports with reference to FNNews, the company has decided on the price of the Galaxy S25 Edge in its "native" market of South Korea, where the price tag will reach $1,030 and $1,120 for 256 and 512 GB of storage, respectively.
For comparison, the Galaxy S25 Ultra starts at $1,166 there. Thus, the new thin model will occupy a "price gap" between the Galaxy S25 Ultra and the simpler Galaxy S25+. And it is worth noting that the same prices are unlikely to be in other markets. According to 9to5Google, in the US the cost of the Galaxy S25 Edge will be approximately $1,099-1,199. And, of course, with Ukrainian taxes it will be more expensive (for comparison, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra in Ukraine costs from 63,999 hryvnias, or approximately $1,550).
And that's not all. According to the same data, Samsung will initially release only 40,000 copies, which will be launched only in the largest markets such as Korea and the United States. So, eager buyers who are already waiting for the Galaxy S25 Edge will theoretically have a hard time getting their hands on the new product when sales start.
Recall that the presentation of the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge is expected in mid-April.
