We've written more than once that Apple is working on a foldable iPhone. Now, thanks to a Chinese insider, the likely price of the new product has appeared online - in the range of $2,100-2,300.
According to the post, the price was calculated based on Apple's current profit margin. This means the foldable iPhone will be more expensive than major competitors such as the Samsung Galaxy Fold6 ($1900) and the Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold ($1800), and will also be almost double the price of the top-of-the-line iPhone 16 Pro Max, which starts at $1199.
According to the latest rumors, Apple will introduce the device in 2026. Samsung will supply both displays: a 5.5-inch external screen and a 7.8-inch flexible main screen. Apple is expected to use a liquid metal hinge, which will be stronger than titanium. The device will be 4.5-4.8 mm thick when unfolded, and 9-9.5 mm when folded.
