Insider showed what iOS 19 will look like
Insider and YouTube blogger from the Front Page Tech channel Jon Prosser has published a new video in which he showed renders of a possible updated iOS 19 design, based, according to the author, on real materials from internal Apple sources.
The interface is expected to get a “glass” look in the style of visionOS : more transparency in menus, buttons, notifications, and other elements.
The main news was the announcement that app icons would become more rounded. Prosser explained that in the test builds of iOS 19, the usual icons are used by default, but when you long press on them, they change to more rounded ones - probably to hide the innovation until the official presentation at WWDC 2025.
Prosser also says that iOS 19 will feature a new pill-shaped panel at the bottom of apps, including the App Store, Apple Music, Messages, and more. The search tab will feature an elongated field with a round back button. In Messages, the search bar will be permanently active.
Other changes include rounded corners in the Haptic Touch menu, volume and brightness sliders, updated camera and microphone permission windows, as well as thinner toggles in Settings and a new keyboard.
Prosser also reported on a new lighting effect that adds sparkle to the interface — for example, the flashlight and camera buttons on the lock screen flicker when the phone is moved.
The first beta version of iOS 19 will likely be released after the presentation on June 9, and the stable version can be expected in September.
